New Friends Adult Day and Health Care Services, Inc.
Elaine and Dr. Charles Walker own and run the New Friends Adult Day and Health Care Services, Inc. established in 1996. In 2008 they decided to move to a larger facility in order to allow them to serve more clients. They worked with BEFCOR and First Citizens Bank to purchase, renovate and up-fit a building located off of Commonwealth Avenue in Charlotte which provided enough space for them to serve 109 adults and allow for the addition of Saturday and Sunday care.

Leo V. Warshauer, M.D.
Leo V. Warshauer, M.D. had a well-established practice in a leased office space in Wilmington, NC when he decided to purchase a larger office space to enable him to better serve his patients. He worked with BEFCOR and First Citizens Bank to purchase and up-fit a new 1,900 square foot office condo space off of Audubon Boulevard in Wilmington. Dr. Warshauer comments:

Absolute Collision
Absolute Collision is an auto collision repair center devoted to better quality repairs, quicker service and competitive prices with excellent customer service. Owner Pete Petursson teamed up with First National Bank and BEFCOR to finance the purchase and up-fitting of a pre-existing auto repair center in Shelby, NC.
"The 504 plan is the most cost effective way for a small business to purchase assets," says Petursson, predicting that "the 504 will be a foundational building block for the recovery of our economy, providing credit where open markets will not."
Burton Family Dental & Associates
Dr. Kevin Burton, DDS was looking to expand since his thriving practice had outgrown the space he was leasing. He teamed up with BEFCOR and Wachovia to finance his project that included the construction of a new 11,548 square foot office on land he had previously purchased in Greenville, NC.

Carolina Courts
Carolina Courts is a 43,000 square-foot indoor sports facility located in Indian Trail, NC. It includes five basketball/volleyball courts, and caters to local recreational leagues. Carolina Courts is owned and operated by Ron Esser and Scott Chitwood, who financed the facility through the partnership of BEFCOR and Community South Bank.
Big View Diner
The Stratos Restaurant Group, which helped bring to the Charlotte area Nolen Kitchen in Myers Park and Ilios Noche on Providence Road, worked with BEFCOR to establish its newest restaurant – Big View Diner, in Ballantyne. The Stratos Restaurant Group was founded by Stratos Lambos and Angelo Kaltsounis, both chefs and restaurateurs. BEFCOR partnered with New Dominion Bank, and the owners of Big View Diner, in order to bring to Charlotte this exciting new venue.
Brent Crawford, DDS – SmileVision, LLC
SmileVision, LLC includes dentist Brent Crawford, DDS and optometrist Brad Hearn, OD. Both practices had outgrown their respective offices and were needing to expand. They teamed up with BEFCOR and RBC Centura Bank to finance the construction of their new facility in Huntersville, NC. Dr. Crawford and Dr. Hearn occupy two separate office spaces within the building, leaving a third space for future expansion.

Cedar Walk Dentistry - Prashant R. Rao, DDS
After two and a half years of operating practice Dr. Prashant Rao, DDS had built a sufficient client base to start his own family practice. BEFCOR partnered with Compass Bank (a strategic partner of Bank of America), to finance Dr. Rao’s purchase and up-fit of the new dental office for his start up practice providing all aspects of general dentistry to the Ballantyne area.
